I was part of Bill's "other family" from the Royal Oak YMCA. He shared his life stories with many of us and we all knew him by his "home on wheels" in the parking lot. I miss his knowledge of many diverse topics such as computers, the Roman Empire, early Christianity, and Italian painters. He spoke about his new basement windows and a saxophone he wanted to sell. He never seemed to run out of stories about the many places he worked. It's not the same without him.
My condolences to his family and friends. However, we can all share many fond memories about Bill. May he rest in peace.

I moved to 60 Wellesley over 20 years ago, and on that day I became Mr. Bill’s next door neighbor. Mr Bill was truly unique. From the many conversations we had over the years covering numerous topics, and conversations about widgets & gadgets l learned a lot from Mr Bill. For years I use to wonder where is Mr. Bill going every morning in what l called his home on wheels, and then one day Mr Bill told me all about his daily free or almost free many excursions . Mr Bill was more than just my next door neighbor, he was a dear friend. My sincere condolences to Mr Bill’s family, but rest assured that Mr Bill is still going on his daily excursions in his home on wheels, but now Mr Bill is traveling in heaven.
