Wanda Jean Cooper's Obituary
Wanda Jean Cooper, age 60 of Hazel Park Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2022. She was born on June 3, 1961 in Royal Oak, Michigan.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Patricia Robinson and Robert Firman as well as her brother Terry Firman. Beloved mother to Sarah Dodd and Rose (Dan) Bossenbery. Grandmother to the apples of her eye, Caraline Rose and Dylan Michael. She is survived by her siblings Mathew, Charles and Marcia.
Wanda was an avid writer and published author including over 20 novels and 3 children's books. When she wasn't writing or editing you would find her spending time with her family playing some good old-fashioned poker. When she became a grandmother, it gave her new meaning to life and was happiest being with her grandchildren. Wanda had a vast love for music and some of her favorite times were spent at concerts. She enjoyed visits to the casinos with her brother Mat and sometimes with friends too. She really enjoyed traveling with her good friend, Gina, as well as her family to places like Arizona, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Canada. A natural helper, she would give her last of anything to help someone else. Wanda was a simple person and didn't require much to live a happy life. She will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm with a private hour at 2:00pm for family. Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071. There will be a Sharing of Memories service at 6:30 pm.
