Sandra Langley David's Obituary
Sandra Langley David, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in her home surrounded by her family. Sandra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Sandra was born on May 25, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Margaret Langley. Sandra grew up in Louisville and attended Butler High School. At the age of seventeen, she married the “love of her life,” Barry David, on March 30, 1963. The couple was devoted to each other and to Christ, raising their children to know the Lord. Sandra attended and served at Landmark Community Church Hazel Park, Michigan alongside her husband (the pastor).
Sandra earned her associates degree in Commercial and Graphic Arts from Oakland Community College in 1984. Sandra had several careers over her life including: secretary, chef, quilt instructor, and writer. She wrote three books and enjoyed researching the Pony Express and Harden Springs, Ky.
Sandra is survived by her husband and their two daughters, Wendy David-McGill and husband, Chaz McGill of Sterling, Virginia; and Beth Oberg and her husband, Brent Oberg of Centennial, Colorado and their three children.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
