Sally Louise Cleghorn's Obituary
Sally Louise Harris Cleghorn of Royal Oak, MI passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018 in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Sally was born in Hornersville, MO to Goss and Allie Harris on October 14, 1932. She attended school in Leachville, AR. Before graduating in May, she married the love of her life Billy Clay Cleghorn on February 10, 1951. They have been married 66 years. Sally was a military wife, mother to five children, home maker, church secretary, and loved to sew. She had a way with words and loved to write poems.
Sally is preceded in death by older brothers, Robert Harris and Carrol Loyd Harris and older sister and closest friend, Rhuebell Lipper.
Sally is survived by husband Billy Clay Cleghorn; children Jack Cleghorn, Deborah (Terry) Baker, Randall (Terry Sue) Cleghorn, Karen (Greg) Thomas, and Kenyon Cleghorn; grandchildren Daniel Baker, Amanda (Nathan) Fox, Kristen Cleghorn, Trevor Cleghorn, Heather (Andrew) Christian, Kyle (Jessica) Thomas, Chelsea Thomas; great-grandchildren Dylan and Arthur Christian and Macy Thomas.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 9pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Hopcroft Funeral Home in Madison Heights, MI.
Funeral service will be held with visitation from 10-11am followed by service at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Royal Oak Church of Christ in Royal Oak, MI with Peter Morphy officiating. Private burial ceremony will follow service at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, MI.
