Roy Kotlarek's Obituary
Roy Michael Kotlarek, 61, of Rose City passed away on Monday March 18, 2013 at his sister's residence in Houghton Lake.
Roy was born on March 12, 1952 in Highland Park to Edward and June (Waugh) Kotlarek. He graduated from Ferndale High School. Roy worked for his families business, Roy's Radio and TV as an Electronics Technician. He was a handyman to his family and friends fixing their cars, electronics, and most anything that would break. Roy enjoyed the outdoors and especially mushroom picking.
Surviving Mr. Kotlarek are his 2 sisters - Diane (Gary) Marsh of Houghton Lake, and Darla D. Clough of Warren; sister-in-law - Linda Kotlarek of Ferndale; nephew - Charles Cushman; 3 nieces - Denise Tenney, Cindy Mangov, and Jennifer Parks; several great nieces and nephews; and many friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Edward Kotlarek; nephew, Brian Clough; and brother-in-law, George Clough.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday March 23, 2013 with memorial visitation from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm with the memorial service at 5:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R Road, Hazel Park, Michigan. Memorial Contributions in memory of Roy are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
