Roberta Waszelewski, age 86 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on December 10, 2023 at Ascension Oakland Hospital, Madison Heights, Michigan. She was born on June 6, 1937 in Elmira, Michigan to Mike and Regina (maiden Karmol) Franckowiak.
Beloved Wife of Richard F. Waszelewski. They were married on December 28, 1957 in Hamtramck, Michigan. Dear and Cherished Mother of Richard A. Waszelewski of Hazel Park, Michigan; Stephen M. (Lisa) Waszelewski of Ferndale, Michigan and Ann M. (Dan) LeBeau of Clinton Township, Michigan. Grandmother of Ryan and Sara. Great-Grandmother of Anthony. Roberta is pre deceased by her siblings, Bennie, Edward, Robert, Martha, Donald and Gerald.
Roberta Loved her husband Richard as they were married for over 65 years. She loved her children and grandchildren. For the last 3 years, her great grandson Anthony brought tremendous joy to her. She also loved her nephews and especially loved and enjoyed her nieces. There was always laughter and joy when they got together.
Roberta enjoyed shopping, gardening and Westerns. She loved visiting family and friends in Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoyed the people that she met and worked with during her 30 plus years working at Como’s Restaurant.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
