Where do we begin? Rich and Roberta lived at 529 East Mapledale. My parents, Chuck and Jan Easton lived at 527 East Mapledale . One summer afternoon in mid August , My mom was walking around the neighborhood really pregnant ( with me) and met Roberta who is watering her flowers out front. They became instant friends. My dad, Chuck , and Richie hit it off perfectly. My mom, Jan and Roberta joined the choir together at the church at Saint Mary Magdalene. Our family became very close. We included them in every birthday and holiday celebration that we had. In 1975 my dad and mom decided they were tired of the cold winter in Michigan and wanted to move to Arizona . So they packed us all up and off we went. We found a nice house in Phoenix Arizona and shortly after we were settled . Rich , Roberta, Rick , Stephen , and Ann came out to visit . Oops , I forgot grandma , Frances . even came a couple times as well. We would take trips . We would all pile in my parents, station wagon and we would drive to Sedona or to Las Vegas. Rawhide, a western town . Those were Richie and Roberta and my parents favorite places to go. I have so many memories of Rich and Roberta, coming out to Phoenix and visiting us. Roberta was a sweet soul. Even when their three kids were grown , Rich and Roberta would still come out to Phoenix . They would come visit my children and bring my kids gifts and us gifts. I looked in my cupboard earlier this evening, and I saw the red bowls. Roberta, gave my husband and I when we moved into our first house after we were married, I love those red bowls. Roberta bought us those red bowls because we had a red and white kitchen. I still have them to this day and I will keep them for always. Or until they break! She bought my kids Halloween s’more characters. I hang them up on my light fixture every year! I always will. Every Halloween we up at look up at the characters and remember Roberta . We remember her unwrapping each and everyone of them showing them to my kids Cole and Julia. It heart breaking that Roberta has left us here on earth , but we can keep all of our precious memories in our hearts forever. Remember, God puts us on this earth and God can take us away whenever he wants. Love your relatives, Love your parents., Love your neighbors. Give them hugs , give them kisses. Tell them you love them . Because you never know how long you’ll have with them. ❤️ we love you Roberta.
