I am so sorry to hear of Phyllis passing. When I was still somewhat new to the church, she took me on a historical tour. What a great blessing she was. Intelligent and compassionate, she someone I always wanted to know better.
We want to send our sincere sympathy to this family Phyllis was a kind , loving and caring person. I recognize the dress she is wearing in the picture. She was Worthy Grand Matron of the Eastern Star and she chose me to be one of her escorting Grand Conductresses at Grand Chapter What a honor she gave me. She was also a person who enjoyed having fun. The Worthy Matrons and Patrons of Wayne County had so much fun with Charlie and her during the years we traveled to Eastern Star meetings.
We became known as PHIL'S PILLS. Phyllis was also a very smart lady and knew the laws of Eastern Star and kept us straight in our chapters We all loved her so much.
She will certainly be missed but never forgotten. Kathy, you and you sister had a wonderful Mother and we pray her memories will help you get through this. May God bless and comfort you at this time.

Please accept my sincere sympathy. Phyllis was one of the stalwart members of our Tuesday Class at church year after year. We counted on her, especially, as a reliable source of church history when our discussions led us that way. More than anything else, however, she was a valued friend and is greatly missed.
I am so sorry for your loss. Phyllis was a well respected lady and loved by all who knew her. She will be missed and always remembered for the dedication she had to the Order of the Eastern Star. She was always gracious, kind, and friendly to all who came in contact with her. She had many friends and was a friend to everyone. She will be dearly missed. An Eastern Star Sister and a Friend.
I recognize the dress Phyllis is wearing in this picture. It is her Grand Family dress when she served as Worthy Grand Matron. My parents were friends of Charlie and Phyllis. They were wonderful people and so devoted to each other.
I was privileged to be initiated into the Order of the Eastern Star when she was in the Grand East. My parents, Bud and Elaine Keech were the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of Lakeshore Chapter #520 meeting in Grosse Pointe Woods. Nan Plane from our Chapter served as her Grand Esther.
I was Blessed to be one of her 'kids'.
It seems we are losing our most devoted and treasured Sisters and Brothers all too rapidly.
We so miss Charlie and now will miss your Mom. She was indeed a Grand Lady and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Please know that our thoughts and Prayers are with your family. I hope that we will be able to attend the Memorial Service.
With our sincerest sympathy, Michael and Cathryn Morse, Fairfield Chapter #224
