Marianna Theresa Welsh's Obituary
Marianna Welsh (Fiorentino) 92, Madison Heights, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 22, 2019.
Marianna is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Regis. Daughter of the late Nicola and Josephine Madonna Fiorentino. She was preceded in death by her siblings Nick, Tom and Rosella and son-in-law Tom Sage. She is also survived by her daughters, Catherine Sage and Maureen Gonzales (Berney); Granddaughters, Carrie Madley (Stephen), Shannon Messer (Jason), Tamara Pesaros (Paul); Great-grandchildren, Cameron, Mateo, Keiton, Isidora, Thea and Drew.
Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother always thinking of others before herself. She was an excellent cook, she baked liked crazy and the most important thing to her was her family and friends. A full kitchen table with lively conversation and lots of laughter was her favorite place to be.
Being a dedicated member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and the ladies auxiliary gave her many opportunities to give back to the community. She was kind, loving, selfless, funny, dedicated and so much more. Her memory will live on through all those lives she touched.
Visitation Wednesday, July 24th from 3-9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road). Thursday, July 25th, Instate 9:30 am with Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Vincent Ferrer, 28353 Herbert St, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Burial to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
