Leona Fuerneisen, age 93 of Cadillac, Michigan passed away on December 1, 2024 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, Michigan. She was born on December 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Hubert and Rose Velthoven.
Dear Mother of Joseph E. (Pat) Fuerneisen, Robert (Virginia) Fuerneisen and Gary (Robin) Fuerneisen. Grandmother of 7 and many Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Sister of Helena.
Beloved Wife of the late Joseph Fuerneisen (Oct. 4, 2001). They were married on June 5, 1948. Leona is predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna (Philip) LaForest. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Bill, Virginia, Harriet and Marie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
