Josephine I. Nowicki, age 88, passed away on January 28, 2016. She was a Hazel Park resident for 59 years. She was born August 17, 1927 in Kenosha, WI.
Wife of the late Philip Nowicki (2009). Mother of James (Gloria) Nowicki, Cynthia (Gary) Elrod, Susan (Steve Sessions) Nowicki and the late Nancy (Fred D.) Karn. Sister of Terri (Charles) Bunnell, Rosemarie Carnoskes and the late Ronald (Elaise) Carnoskes. Grandmother to Gary, Serena, Fred, Mikaela and Benjamin.
She was an active member of St. Mary Magdalen. She was a surrogate mother to many.
Visitation Sunday 3 to 9 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights. Service Instate Monday 10:30 am followed by 11 am Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Church.
