To The Family-- Words cannot ease the sorrow that is in your heart today but may you find inner peace as time goes on it's way. The loss of a mother can be devastating but know that Joan was loved and appreciated. We all will miss that "beautiful dimpled smile" (St. Martin dePorres classmate) Peace & Blessings - Lynn & Family
Our families were next-door neighbors for many years on Edison St. I remember the good times we had in the neighborhood as kids. I am so sorry for your loss.
My sincerest condolences to Joan's family. I first met Joan through our brothers at age 12. Horatio and my brother Walter, deceased in 1998, were best friends. We became very good friends and eventually attended St. Martin de Porres. Joan had a beautiful personality and a good spirit. I am so saddened at your loss. God Bless you and you are in my prayers.
I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Strong during my first teaching assignment at White Elementary. I remember most her morning greetings ("Hey Baby") as I passed by her classroom. I too remember the laughter of her daughter, Nicola. I was always in aw of their dynamic relationship. No greater love, no greater dedication, no greater bond was shared between two people.
May the peace of God be with the entire Strong family during this season of bereavement.
With Deepest sympathy. Old Neighbor still on Edison St.
It has been a pleasure getting to know you and getting the inside scoop on your daughter! I promise to always look after her and keep her in line. You will be missed by many.
Love you!
Kat
To Cola and the entire Strong family, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of need. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know.
Thank you for sharing your last months with us. You will never be forgotten, Granny Joan.
I was blessed to have had the honor of teaching with Joan for many years at White Elementary. I will never forget her beautiful smile and kind words. She was dedicated to making sure each student felt special. Undoubtedly her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Nicola. There was never a wider smile on her gorgeous face than when she spoke about her. My thoughts are with her family. Angels are definitely singing!
