Jeffrey Walter Rinkus' Obituary
Jeffrey Walter Rinkus, age 71, of Oak Park, Michigan and formerly of East Detroit, Michigan was called home by his Lord Jesus on September 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on February 17, 1954 to Walter and Doris Rinkus who preceded him in death.
Jeff was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Rinkus. They were married on June 27, 1987 in Hazel Park, Michigan. Survived by his children Craig (Lane) Rinkus and Lauren (Avery) Osentoski, grandson Leo, brother Michael (Judy) Rinkus, nieces Christa (Todd), Marisa (Diedrich), Katie (Joe), great niece Keila, and great nephews Reece and Mikey.
Jeff was a long time Detroit Lions fan, loved watching old movies and was very proud of his career as a medical lab technician.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, beginning at 9:30 am (instate) followed by the 10:00 am Funeral Service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 202 E. 5th Street, Royal Oak, Michigan. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
