Curtis was a great friend of the VFW Post 2645 in Southfield where he cooked for many years. He use to play cards with the vets and made us laugh at his jokes during our fish fry's. He was also a great friend mine and we all at the post will miss him deeply. Our hearts go out to his family and love ones during this difficult time.

I ill always laugh and remember about a licence plate that was put on Curt's van. One day he went to get into his van and a plate that said "Little Princess was on the front. He knew it was done in fun and didn't remove it,I don't think. Curt was devoted to his children and his grandchildren, (all of them) He was also Grandpa to other children who didn't have a Grandpa in his circle of friends. He really knew and practiced the meaning of, "It takes a village to raise a child". All of his loved ones have my deepest sympathy. Curt was a good man gone too soon.
