Cindy Roeske's Obituary
Cindy Roeske, Age 68, raised and educated in Hazel Park, Michigan, and currently residing in Troy, Michigan, passed peacefully on September 15, 2025 after a tough and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family as she took her final breaths.
Cindy was the person who lit up the room the moment she walked in. Her contagious smile, her warm hugs, her vivacious personality will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her. Before retiring, she worked as a hairdresser in the Clawson area and was well-loved by all her clients, making them laugh while making them beautiful. After retirement, “Nonie” focused even more on her four grandchildren and gorgeous garden. She loved going to their hockey and baseball games to cheer them on and going to Frankenmuth to shop for ornaments at Bronner’s. She loved her garden, and when asked what her favorite flower was, her answer was “all of them”. When she wasn’t enjoying her grandchildren or garden, Cindy could be found cruising Woodward in her red “Good2Go” Corvette or watching freighters on the St. Clair River with her soulmate and partner for eternity, Don.
Cindy is survived by her adoring husband of 47 years, Don. She was a loving mother to Tony (Sue) and Lyndsey (Matt), and a fun and energetic Nonie to her grandchildren Benny, Rudy, Madi and Sunny. Cindy is also survived by her devoted sister, Becky (Ralph) Dandy and brother Roger Chism. She was pre-deceased by siblings Sandy Nash and Rick Chism. Cindy was loved as a sister by her sister-in-law Deb (Steve) Gerard and Darlene (Kevin) Dysarczyk, along with her close friends Kathy (Jim) Pabst and Pat (Herb) Cork. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the many staff at both local Beaumont Hospitals that devotedly cared for Cindy during the past nine months. Special thanks, as well, to her close family and friends that selflessly supported her during her courageous battle.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 21st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be private and at a later date.
