I remember Mrs. Roeske from when back in the day when her husband (Sarge) was overseeing the Madison Heights Police Explorers and her son, Tony, was an explorer. She was always supportive of both Sarge and later on Tony with their law enforcement careers behind the scene. She was always so very supportive of her "kids" as well, even if we were not related by blood. and even years later, when we had all aged out, she was always there for all of us who kept in contact with the family.
Sarge, Tony, Lyndsey, and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Know that even I have been down that path. And you know that it goes without me having to say much that it affects our first responder community because of the fact that even if Mrs Roeske was not in a prominent role, she was always in a support role and that it was and always will be a vital role to our first responders when we lose loved ones.
