Sally Dorset
When our family met Edie in 1980, we had the privilege of getting to know her wonderful family. Although everyone called him Poppa, I knew as Cecil as a kind, patient man with a great sense of humor! On one of my early visits to his home, he proudly showed me his hip replacement model! We shared advice about the antique "teasures" he had discovered at garage sales or tosssed on the side of the road (!)and how we could refinish them. I have several pieces from him in my home thanks to his eye for a bargain.
Rarely did Cecil show signs of the pain he endured because of his hip. He always displayed a welcoming smile and a hug for friends. You will be missed, Poppa!
