She was wonderful woman with a heart of gold, giving and caring. She worked in the factory during World War II and then at Meijers bakery at the age of 70 for 6 years. She enjoyed her breads, desserts, tv, cartoons, reading the Tribune, rag mags, other mags, and Detroit News and her soap operas - Another World, Days of Lives, and Santa Barbara. She trained her family, friends, and physicians not to interrupt her soaps especially for Days of Lives at 1:00 PM. She watched her last episode this past Friday - even though she was in pain. She survived breast cancer, stroke, and other ailments for the last 12 years. The last obstacle was stage 4 lung cancer. She was still living at her home in Hazel Park for 60 years until November 18, 2010. She loved spending time during the holidays with her family. God Bless Grandmother whom is with my Grandfather holding hands on their walks again - like I remebered at the camp grounds. They loved spending time together and enjoying the great outdoors for many years. She also reunited with her daughters, parents, siblings and other loved ones. I loved my grandmother and will miss her until I meet my family again in heaven.
