Wilma A. D'Anna's Obituary
Wilma A. D'Anna, age 90 of Ferndale, Michigan passed away on June 13, 2024 at home surrounded by family. She was born on April 26, 1934 in Caseville, Michigan to Denson and Violia Smith.
Loving Wife of Joseph Frank D'Anna. Dear Mother of Joseph (deceased) (surviving, Karen) D'Anna, Michael (Theresa) D'Anna, Denise (David) Liba and Dean D'Anna. Grandmother of Dominic D'Anna, Joey D'Anna and Stacy (Brad) Morrison. Great-Grandmother of Marissa Hollenbeck, Nora Morrison, Ira Morrison and Luka Morrison. Wilma is pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters, Vincent (Joyce) Smith, Richard (Kay) Smith, Terry (Gloria) Smith, Diane Honaker, Kay Adams, and Sharon Hartz. Loved by many Nieces and Nephews. She loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
She worked for the Ferndale School District in the front office from 1973 until retiring at the age of 62. She was a member of the Hazel Park Eagles Club for at least 40 years. They did karaoke and she started singing there every weekend. Wilma loved karaoke and singing songs by the “Rat Pack”. Her favorite song was “New York, New York”. One year she won the contest!!! Her voice was beautiful.
Services will be held at a later date in Caseville, Michigan with burial in Caseville.
Donations in Wilma’s memory can be made to the Michigan Humane Society, American Heart Association and Cancer Research.
