Mr. Evans was a dear sweet man and friend for over 40 years. He and his wife treated my brother Jeffrey and I,( and may I speak for all the grown children from Morehouse St) like family. Sometimes he would share his stories of being in the service, and he wanted all of us kids to know why it was important to grow up in & protect our country . I return to Hazel Park as an adult, and was able to enjoy the company of both Mr. and Mrs. Evans regularly. Mr. Evans would walk all up-and-down Vassar St and he always had treats in his pocket for the canine friends he would encounter.; and he had a heart full of love and compassion for the humans that he would encounter as well. I feel very blessed to call Mr. Bill Evans and his family my friends. May God bless them all as he Flys With Angels Forevermore❤️
