William Balzer's Obituary
BALZER, WILLIAM, 88, of Troy, formerly Hazel Park, died April 3, 2009, at Woodward Hills Nursing Center, Bloomfield Hills. Beloved husband of Thelma. Dear father of Pauline (Earl) Stone, William A. Balzer; step-father of Darlene (Robert) Hatherley, and the late Daryl Waananen. Cherished grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 4. Loving brother of Anna Wolf and Lydia Jacoby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a WWII Vet, coached little league baseball, and chairman at the Hazel Park Lutheran Church for many years. A Memorial Service will be held April 25, 2009 at 1:00pm, at the Hazel Park Lutheran Church, 22910 Highland Ave., Hazel Park.
