Walter Hayden's Obituary
HAYDEN, WALTER W., age 87, a lifelong resident of Ferndale, died January 6, 2010, at Wm. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born Feb. 24, 1922 in Highland Park. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, an American Power Boat Association official for 20 years, and an avid bowler. He was voted Madison Heights Senior Center’s Volunteer of the Year. Beloved husband, of 62 years, to the late Dorothy. He is loving father Jeanne (Harry) Poland of Madison Heights and David (Patty Powers) Hayden of Las Vegas. Dear grandfather of William Lemier, Monique (Richard) Maksym, Heather (Rick) Mossey, Ryan Hayden, and 6 Great Grandchildren. Visitation Saturday 6-9 pm and Sunday 2-9 pm with the funeral service Monday at 11 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Rd, Hazel Park. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
