Walter Joseph Bozman's Obituary
Walter Joseph Bozman, age 87 of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on July 10, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 25, 1935 in Highland Park, Michigan, to Joseph and Margaret Bozman.
Beloved husband of the late Lora Bozman. Loving father of Mary (Kurt) Dobbs, Ann (Mark) Mossington, and Sarah (Josh) Arnkoff. Dear grandfather of Lora, Michael, Chloe, Sydney, Andrew, Ella, Lexi, Emily, Mia, and Olivia. Brother of Mary Lou Bozman and Vincent Bozman. He is predeceased by his sisters Ruth Davis, Patricia Bozman, and brother John Bozman.
Walter was raised in Highland Park and graduated from St. Benedict High School. He attended Wayne State University for three years and was then enlisted into the Army for two years. After his service was over, he married the love of his life, Lora Lynn, in 1959. He had a long career in the family business, Carrier Basket Service. He loved athletics, especially the game of tennis, which he played with his daughter Ann for 42 years. He loved following the Michigan Wolverines in football and basketball, and loved going to the Michigan football games with his brother. He enjoyed going to Tiger games and talking sports. He also loved making family bets on big sporting events. He loved to play poker with his family. He was an avid reader as well. He kept up on world events, and was a good conversationalist. He had a deep faith in the Lord, and never missed a Sunday mass, even if he was out-of-town. He had great comfort in knowing that he would be reunited with his family in Heaven.
His greatest joy was his three daughters and ten grandchildren. He loved spending time with them. He loved the simple things: a good home-cooked dinner, old movies, outings with his family, and plenty of laughs. He will be forever missed. We love you, Dad.
