Walter Borowiec's Obituary
Walter Borowiec, age 89, of Madison Heights, MI passed away July 14, 2014. He was born December 2, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Ludwig and Valeria Borowiec.
Beloved husband of Joan (nee Turrell). Dear father of Cheryl (Gino) Centofanti, Sandra (Thomas) Eonta, Janice (Dan) Justice and the late Michael (Judy) Clees. Loving Grandfather of 14 and predeceased by his grandson Michael Kevin Clees. Great Grandfather of 30.
He retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII. He was a POW in Germany during the war. Walter was an avid golfer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 12 noon until 8pm with a service at 7pm. HOPCROFT FUNERAL HOME, 31145 John R, Madison Heights, MI.
Military honors will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 9:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
