Wallace Francis Cormier's Obituary
Wallace Francis Cormier, age 84, of Hazel Park, MI passed away May 28, 2014. He was born in Detroit, MI on July 14, 1929 to the late Alfred and Helen Cormier.
Beloved husband of Doris for 61 years. Dear father of Guy (Louise), Jay, Dean (Terrie), Craig (Debra), Keith (Dorian), Jane (Thomas) Davis and Fred. Loving Grandfather of 20 and Great Grandfather of 17. Brother of the late Armand (Arlene) Cormier, Ralph Cormier, Currie Cormier and Dick (Darlene) Cagle. Brother-in-law of Frances Pomaville and Donna Cormier.
Wallace served in the U.S. Air Force. He is the former Mayor of Hazel Park and very active in Public Service.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm and Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2pm to 9pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, Madison Heights Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Hazel Park, MI, 10am Instate with Mass at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, Wally requested that donations be made to the Charity or Hospice of your choice in his memory. Envelopes available at funeral home.
