Virginia McKlinski's Obituary
Virginia McKlinski of Royal Oak, formerly of Ferndale, was born in Detroit on Oct. 14, 1926. She passed away peacefully in Southfield on Jan. 15, 2009. She was an aide at Wanda School and a volunteer at the Hazel Park Salvation Army store. She was the mother of Cynthia (Jim) Simpson. Grandmother of Jim (Holly Ogden), Christina “Nina” Simpson, Grethen Wilson, and Scott Wilson. Great-grandmother of Joshua Simpson. Mrs. McKlinski was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and a daughter, Grethen A. Wilson. A Memorial service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held on Monday, Jan. 26 at 6:00 pm at Farina’s Banquet Center, 2485 Coolidge Highway, Berkley. The family will be receiving friends before and after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers contributions to Beaumont Hospice or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
