Terry Allen Troutt, age 68 of Ferndale, Michigan passed away on November 18, 2025 in at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 6, 1957 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Ray and Mildred Troutt.
Terry Troutt was a man whose presence filled every room with warmth, steadiness, and a quiet kind of strength. A beloved husband and father, he spent 45 years side-by-side with his wife, Kathy, building a life grounded in loyalty, devotion, and unwavering love.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kristen (Jason) Pesamoska and Angela (Jason) Quintano, who were not only his children but the pride of his heart. He taught them resilience, compassion, and the importance of family—lessons they now carry forward in their own lives.
Among the many roles Terry held, none meant more to him than being Papa to his eight grandchildren. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines, offering wise words, or sharing a quiet moment of laughter, he poured his whole heart into each of them. They were his joy, his legacy, and the source of countless stories he loved to tell.
A proud member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Terry exemplified the values of integrity, fellowship, and service. His dedication to the fraternity reflected the kind of man he was—steadfast, honorable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Terry’s life was defined not by grand gestures but by everyday acts of kindness, generosity, and love. His family will forever remember his gentle humor, his thoughtful advice, and the way he made each person feel seen and valued.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Shriners Walk Through, followed by a Masonic Memorial, beginning at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071. The burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to either the Michigan Mason Charitable Foundation or the Shriners Hospital.
