Steve served with dedication as a Michigan State Trooper from March 23, 1975, until his retirement on April 15, 2000. He had a deep love for sports—he played tennis during his time at Kalamazoo College and later developed an even greater passion for golf. While he was a quiet man who often kept to himself, those who knew him well saw his outgoing spirit, warm heart, and lovable, kind nature that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
