Shirley Jane Miller's Obituary
Shirley Jane Miller, age 93 of Madison Heights, Michigan and formerly of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on January 13, 2023 at her home. She was born on June 23, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Bertha Raetzel.
Beloved Wife of the late William Miller. They were married on February 4, 1950. Loving Mother of her bonus daughter, Sandra (the late Richard) Saliga, Jeffrey (Paula) Miller, Kirk Miller, Lenna (Kenneth) Ball and David Miller. Grandmother of LeeAnn, Lori, Casey, Renee, David, Jamie, Joel, Lauren and the late Kirk II. Survived by several Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Grandchild. Shirley is survived by her brother, Glenn Raetzel, her sister, Cheryl Taylor and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was very active in her church choir and enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening, traveling, crocheting as well as being an avid reader.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 19th beginning with the 10:00 am instate/visitation followed by the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 814 North Campbell Road, Royal Oak, Michigan 48067. Burial will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan.
