Shirley A. Maksion, age 89 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on June 7, 2025 at Corewell Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on June 8, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank Bissell Mentier and Frances Charolette (Sullivan) Mentier.
Beloved Wife of the late Robert John Maksion (Feb. 16, 1935 – June 8, 2024). They were married on April 28, 1953. Cherished Mother of Pamela Parks (Maksion) and her husband, Wendell Parks, Robert Joesph Maksion and his wife Michelle Maksion (Johnson). Grandmother of Paige Ann Parks and Madison Ann Parks. Sister of Frank Mentier and Maltida Marie Mayes (Mentier).
Shirley’s pride was in being a Homemaker, but she worked in many jobs through out her life. Her last job was the Head Housekeeper at American House in Royal Oak, Michigan. She loved to play the organ/piano and loved spending time with her family.
Her ashes will be placed along side her beloved husband, Robert at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
