Shirley was a member of the Fancy Flights investment club along with my mother for probably over 30 years. Even after the club disbanded, she and my mom would have lunch together on a regular basis. I joined them on several occasions. She was a very pleasant person.

Last July when I was visiting from Florida I was able to visit with my cousin Shirley. She remembered baby sitting for me when I was very young. She said I was a biter. I don't know. Shirley, you were my favorite Aunt. You loved having fun and joking with us kids. You also brought us birthday and Christmas gifts that a child would appreciate (no socks or sweaters ever!!).
I saw you for the first time in many years about two years ago. I was happy to see you and you were thrilled to see me. You said "you haven't changed a bit!" Of course I had changed. I was in my late 50's, but I know that you were thinking of me as an adorable preschooler, even though I had lost my adorable many years ago. It was very sweet.
