Sharon Laurila's Obituary
Sharon (Sherry) Laurila, age 66, went to join the angels in Heaven on September 18, 2012 in Howell, Michigan. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 28, 1946.
She was the devoted daughter of the late George and Mary Laurila. Loving mother of Mary Genrich, the late James Taucher, Leigh Tamminga and Drew Beyerlein. Sister of Robert Laurila, Francis (Jean) Lawyer and Elaine McMahon. Beloved grandmother of Amanda and Anthony Genrich, and Dana, Richard & Grant Taucher. Loving Aunt to 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
She was the Director of Telecommunications at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI. Following that, she was the Manager at Madison Park Apartments in Madison Heights, MI for many years.
She loved horseback riding, drawing, bowling & spending time up North. She will be sorely missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R, Hazel Park, MI 48030. A celebration of her life will be held following the services at a friend’s home in Berkley Michigan.
