Ruby Merle Nix's Obituary
Ruby Merle Nix, age 82 of Macomb, Michigan passed away on December 19, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born April 1, 1935 in Anderson, South Carolina to Carl and Tessie Glazener.
Beloved wife of the late Rev. Harold Nix. Loving mother of Linda (Louie) Palka, Steve (Phyllis) Nix, Dale (Sam) Allensworth and Brenda (Brian) Florence. Proud grandmother of Kevin, Stacy, Tracy, Jody, Stephanie, Randy, Kristie, Rachel and Sara. Great-grandmother of 16 and great-great-grandmother of one. Sister of Doris Eddy.
Her greatest joy was her family and the time they shared together. Affectionately known as “Nanny” by family and friends alike, she was a Godly example who spent many years as a pastor’s wife serving Christ and others. She is leaving behind a legacy that will live on in the countless lives she touched.
Her last few days on earth were spent surrounded by family and her first moments in heaven were spent rejoicing with Jesus as she was reunited with her husband and other loved ones gone before.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 22nd from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 23rd at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, Michigan.
