Rose Quinn's Obituary
Rose Marie Quinn slipped away quietly to be with the Lord on June 27th after a short hospital stay. She was born on December 14 1946 in Wilmington, Delaware. Rose was the oldest of 9 children born to Bayne Mac Halsey Sr. and Myrtle Emma Woods who has preceded her in death in1997.
Rose is survived by her husband Richard Quinn of Warren. Her mother in law, Bertha Quinn of Sterling Heights. Sister of Louise Hafner (the youngest) of Warren, Dorothy Lockard of Port Huron Township, John (Carolyn) Halsey of Hazel Park, Joseph (Kim) Halsey of Marine City, Harold (Bonnie) Halsey of Clawson and Lester Halsey of Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Rose was also a Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph James Quinn, her brother, Bayne Mac Halsey, Jr. her sister, Carol Ann Massey and a niece, Susan Marie Mcclaren.
Richard loved his wife and she was his “lady in pink” as she said so many times. She was his everything and was so good to him and his mother. She thought of Bertha as her mom and treated her that way. They had a beautiful relationship.
Rose enjoyed singing in the choir at Maranatha Church of God in Warren as well as bowling on the church league. She collected lighthouses and loved sitting out on the back patio even in the winter time. Rose will be missed as she was a people person and enjoyed going over to her cousins with her sister Louise to Debra and Maurice Weiner every Thursday night. We will surely feel the impact of her passing away so suddenly. Rose is in our hearts and will not ever be forgotten for her loving and giving heart that she showed on a regular basis. We love you Rose with all of our hearts and we will remember all the wonderful times we had with you for your short time on this earth.
Rose was my loving wife; she was the sweetest girl in the whole wide world. Rose made me the happiest husband for 34 years. She always had a smile on her face and took the good with the bad. I will miss her dearly and hope to be with her in heaven again. Lovingly, Richard
