Ronald C. Wood, age 96 a lifelong resident of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on March 24, 2017 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born on April 9, 1920 to Charles and Eleanor Wood.
Beloved Husband of the late Florence. Dear Father of Linda (Tom) Adams and the late Judy Wood. Dear Grandfather of Woody (Heather), Amy (Charles) and Christine. Great-Grandfather of Harrison, Vivienne and Julian. Cherished pets, his dog Abby and the late Bossy.
Ronald and Florence were able to enjoy a long retirement together. They spent many winter months in Florida and in the summer at Lake Chemung in Howell, Michigan.
Ronald retired from DeVelieg Machine Company after 40 years. He served in the Army during WWII in the 222nd Search Light Battalion.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 30th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road (South West corner of John R. Road and Woodward Heights – 9 1/2 Mile Road), Hazel Park, Michigan. Burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
