Fr. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus. I was able to get to know Fr.Bob as a member and then Commander of the Color Corps. He was wonderful to work with and a reverent and faithful priest. He was a treasure to Fr. Dolan K of C Council and as the pastor to St. Mary Magdelan and St. Justin parishes. His loss is profound to all those souls that he touched. If all the priests and bishops I have worked with, I always looked forward to assignments involving Fr. Bob. I will miss him greatly.

Sadness and a sense of impactful loss is the price we pay, upon his passing, for the respect and admiration that such a man had earned in our hearts. I had the honor of appointing Reverend Robert Hayes Williams II (Fr. Bob) as the Hazel Park Police Department’s first official Police Chaplain and as the Oakland County Chiefs of Police organization’s honorary Chaplain. These were duties that he maintained and executed flawlessly for many years, until his passing. With his powerful voice, confident tone, direct message, and selfless dedication, what he has contributed will be difficult to ever replicate. As a servant of a Higher Power, Reverend Robert Hayes Williams II, ever present when called upon, provided spiritual leadership, direction and wisdom. Rest Peacefully my friend.
