Robert E. Nelson's Obituary
Robert E. Nelson, age 101 of Warren, Michigan passed away at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, in Madison Heights, Michigan on February 16, 2023. He was born on February 19, 1921 in Elmore County, Alabama to David and Nora Nelson.
Beloved husband of the late Minnie Nelson. Dear father of Theresa Y. Dozier and Steven (Charlene) Nelson. Cherished grandfather of W.R. (Cherie) Dozier. Great-grandfather of Alexandria (Devon) Holland and Zachary Dozier.
Robert was retired from General Motors and when he worked at Cadillac Motor Car, he was known as the preacher who was often sharing prayers with his co-workers. He was also a World War II Army veteran and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 18th at 10:00 am and will continue until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
