Robert John Maksion, age 89 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on June 8, 2024 at the Young Home for the Elderly, Warren, Michigan. He was born on February 16, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan.
Beloved Husband of Shirley Ann (maiden Mentier) Maksion. They married on May 28, 1953 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Hazel Park, Michigan. Dear Father of Pamela Ann Parks (Wendell Stone Parks) of Troy, Michigan and Robert Joseph Maksion (Michelle (maiden Johnson) Maksion) of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Grandfather of Paige Ann Parks and Madison Ann Parks. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Katherine (maiden Taritas) Leinart. Brother of Barbara Rice and pre-deceased by his sister, Patricia Lentz.
Robert served in the U. S. Military (Army) from 1958 – 1961. He continued to serve in the Army Reserve until December 1963.
He worked at a bindery company for thirty years with his background in graphic arts. Robert had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He was very creative, artistic and had quite a way with words.
Robert was a Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.
A small private family service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
