Robert Arnold Lannan's Obituary
Robert A. Lannan, age 89, a lifelong resident of Hazel Park, Michigan, died on April 1, 2018 after a brief stay at ShorePointe Nursing Center, St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He was born in Hazel Park on July 8, 1928.
He leaves behind his only sister, Loretta Hughes, niece Lisa Blanchard, nephew David Hughes, great-niece Amy Blanchard, great-nephews Jay Becker (Gretchen) and Nathan Becker (Alicia), great-great niece Emma Blanchard, and great-great nephews John Becker, Robert Becker, Trent Becker, Graham Becker, and Jack Becker. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Harold and Veronica Lannan, a brother Harold L. Lannan, Jr., niece Kim Becker, nephew Bill Hughes, and brother-in-law William Robert Hughes.
He worked for All-Phase Electric and McNichols Electric for many years; he was a talented tinkerer who could fix almost anything. Faced with a number of challenges throughout his life, he confronted them all with equanimity and cheerfulness, and without complaint. He was a generous friend, a good neighbor, and a beloved family member.
There will be a private interment on a later date at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
