Share a memory... I'll just write one for now as I'll otherwise be on the computer correcting my own thoughts and grammar for hours. Back when grandpa and Ann lived in Millington Colm, Connor, Ryan, Alex, Zak, Tyler and I would go visit. Mom and Aunt Robin would pack everyone up and we'd usually fight the whole way.
Once we arrived we would spend the day eating all the candy Grandma Ann left on her coffee tables while Grandpa told stories we wouldn't really understand for a few years. We knew they were good stories because Grandp's face would light up with enthusiasm, plus he usually ended it with "that's a good lesson for you kids". The next part that I loved about these visits is our time spent with him outside. He would talk to us about his key collection, explain intricate details about the forest behind his house, and give us rides in his army jeep. The army jeep!!! It didn't have seat belts, and he taught us to drive it!! Now being the only girl, I was just as excited as he was that I (JACQUELYN!!) was the first one to get the hang of the clutch. Naturally. He was so happy that we enjoyed driving his 1940's Jeep. After a while grandpa would go relax inside and we would play all kinds of games outside until we were tired as well. Before apps (social media), college, weddings, and babies there were much less worries. That's what I remember about my grandpa, living like a kid, worry free, with him.
We love you grandpa! I hope you're no longer in pain, and you enjoy watching us from above.
