Richard Stanley McCormick's Obituary
Richard Stanley McCormick, age 93 of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on September 29, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1931 in Michigan to Lloyd and Reva McCormick.
Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia. Loving father of Cynthia “Cindy” Christie, Bonnie Zeile, Rick McCormick, Patrick McCormick, and Ken McCormick. Grandfather of Hilary, Emily, Nicole, Amanda, John, Lindsey and Nick. Great-grandfather of Ryanne, Meridyth, Ellianna, Piper, Cassie, Maddie, Melody and Scarlett.
Richard worked for Chrysler for 32 years until he retired in 1989.
He loved to paint. He mostly painted landscapes that he did just for the love of it. Many of his paintings are displayed in the homes of his family. He enjoyed trains, NASCAR and bowling. He was on so many bowling leagues in his life as many as three leagues at once.
You never saw him out anywhere unless he had one if his baseball caps on and his NASCAR jacket.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
