Beloved wife of the late Emmitt “Pete”. Loving mother of Winfred Bates, Emmett Bates Jr., Jeff Bates and Gina (Tom) Brew. Grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 7. Sister of Howard (Jowetta) Breeding, Alice Lark, Phyllis (Bob) Peace, Sharon Wysocki, Glenda (Keith) Quillen, Brenda (Loren)Sturgil and the late Diane Bradford. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 3pm to 9pm. Funeral service Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.
