Pat,Joey, Shiela. I'm really sorry to hear about the passing of Ralph and your dad. I remember the Great and crazy times we had in the apartments on Woodward Heights.(Your Mom was wonderful to Pat) You all are great people and I know that Ralph was an Awesome Dad. I remember him playing baseball with joey all the time, before Sheila was born. Hang on to those wonderful memories. I just read this in the Tribune on line today, and I'm living in Ft. Lauderdale. Dear Pat, Joe and Sheila,you have my deepest sympathy, everyone who knew "Big Joe", has a heavy heart today. A great man has passed, and I mean that sincerely! I haven't had contact with him in many years, however, we were very close, back in the day (1970's). Ralph and I stood shoulder to shoulder every day for years. You get to know a person very well, spending that much time with them. No, we didn't "hang" much outside of work, and we were good with that. I can tell you this, Ralph had a great love for his family! He dedicated his life to them, and did it willingly! He was always a fun guy to be around, we had a lot of laughs together. We did a lot of crazy things together too!But through it all, there never was a man more proud of his family! He was a solid, good-hearted man, I will miss him deeply! Peace be with you, brother, always and forever!!

Dear Patricia, I'm deeply sorry that you lost your beloved Ralph. Please "Don't let your hearts be troubled. exercise faith in God"-John 14:1. The reason is that our heavenly father has a plan that he has stated in the Bible. Most people who have died will be resurrected. His son Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs will...come out." (John 54:28,29)Ralph has the hope of being resurrected to live on a paradise earth. (Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible says: "The righteous themselves will posess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."- Psalms 37:29. Ralph Roa was a gift to everyone who knew him, he truly was the gift that kept on giving. He was the happiest and most uplifting person I've ever met. He had the ability to make everyone feel special and good about themselves. He just wanted everyone to be happy and enjoy life as much as he did.
If we all just had a little Ralph in us this would be a far better world to live in.
Ralph you were a wonderful human being and you will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.
