With a heavy heart I write the obituary of my daddy Ralph Blankenship a resident of Ferndale, MI. He lost his battle with cancer at McLaren Hospital in Pontiac, MI on February 11, 2019. He was born November 14, 1943 in Green Brier, Virginia.
He was a Army Veteran and also retired from Chrysler. He couldn't stay retired and enjoyed his position keeping the greens and fairways perfect at Rackham Golf Course.
He had 39 years of marriage to his wife Barbara Louise Blankenship (Turner) who we lost in 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Penny Machell Adams and son Dennis Hoy. He helped raise Edward, Marty and Jerry. His pride was his 11 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving sister Melba Browning, Virginia and many Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his four brothers Lawrence, Junior, Jesse and Ray.
