Rachel Phelps' Obituary
PHELPS, RACHEL B., age 90 of Houghton Lake and formerly of Detroit and Warren, died November 8, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Roy Phelps and the late John Grindle. Dearest mother of Darlus (Bill) Kumpula, Joy (Harold) Shelby, David (Sherry) Grindle, Maxim (Betty) Grindle, and John Brent (Becky) Grindle. Grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 32, and great great grandmother of 4. Visitation Tuesday 6-9 pm at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. The funeral will be held Wednesday evening at the Royal Oak Salvation Army Chapel, 3015 N. Main Street, Royal Oak, 6:00 pm instate followed by a 7:00 PM service. Burial will take place Friday at 9:15 am at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
