Peter Malega's Obituary
Peter Malega, age 91, of Madison Heights, MI, passed away June 8, 2014 at his home. He was born May 26, 1923 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Hazel (Baligrosky) Malega. Beloved Husband of the late Helen “Sis” Malega. Fantastic father to Debe Malega and Gary Malega. Great Brother in Law to James LaJoye. Also survived by his nieces and nephew; Kathi Marhle, Cathy Jump, Jean Jump, Russ (Pam) LaJoye, Beverly (Steve) Aulph and Mary (Jim) Rauh.
Pete was a World War II Army Veteran. He belonged to the American Legion, was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 7239 of Madison Heights. He was a life member in the Royal Oak-Detroit Elks, No. 34 and the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan.
Peter and Helen will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
