Paula Denise Duvall's Obituary
Paula Denise Duvall, 67, beloved wife, dedicated mother and nana passed away surrounded by love on July 6, 2025.
She was born on May 25th 1958 in Detroit and was raised by her doating parents Frank and Rosemary Dopke in Madison Heights.
Paula found her forever home when she married her puzzle piece Dennis, on October 15, 1983, sharing 41 beautiful years together and building the family she always wanted.
As a mother of five and nana of seven, she was the magic in their home. The bringer of the birthday fairy, great pumpkin and the grandkids know why you never saw nana and Tinkerbell in the same room.
Paula’s home away from home was always the beaches of Port Stanley where she vacationed as a young girl. Many fond family memories grew there as she and Dennis took walks on the pier often and sunset swing sessions with the kids were a staple.
If you couldn’t find Paula at the beach, she was listening to her vast music collection. She made sure her children knew how to properly put the Chicago’s Greatest Hits 45 on the record player and sing every word. Music was always her way of expressing emotions and connecting.
Her true passion, however, came in being a nana. A title she cherished to the end.
Paula is survived by her forever bud; Dennis, their children; Tammy, Helen (Delmar), Dennis Jr. (Karen), Brittany, and Tori. Grandchildren; Jamie, Roger Jr., Shane, Molly, Max, Maddie, and Lola. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Friday, July 11th, at 3:00 pm and will continue until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:30 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
Due to the ongoing construction on John R. Road, it is advised that those who plan on attending the services for Paula Denise Duvall to turn onto Brush Street from 13 Mile Road to use our back entrance.
