Patricia Ann (nee Ostrowski) Podgorski, age 89, passed away peacefully at her Madison Heights home on February 9, 2023. Beloved wife of (late) Norman Podgorski for 67 years. Loving mother of Janice (Eugene) Polan, Cynthia (Kenneth) Ramm, (late) Kenneth (Cynthia) Podgorski, Laura (Michael) Geboski, and Marianne Podgorski. Grandmother to Julie (John) Barnett, Geoffrey (Christa) Polan, Jeremy Polan, Eric (Kristina) Ramm, Angela (Kyle) Rice, Amy (Alex) Nahorodny, Aaron Podgorski, Alicia (Charles) Jones, Alyson (Andrew) Dixon, Jacob Geboski, and the late Emily Ramm, and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Pat was the younger twin born on Friday, October 13, 1933 to Eugene and Theresa (Ziobron) Ostrowski and the youngest of three children. Preceded in death by her husband Norman, son Ken, her granddaughter Emily, and her two sisters, her twin Barbara and her eldest sister Lucille.
Pat was a beautiful person with a big heart and friendly smile. She always put her family first, had a strong maternal love, and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had a special place in her heart for their pet dogs. Pat was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus as past President, Vice President and member of many committees. She loved to travel and play cards and games and was an expert word search solver. She enjoyed watching her oldies programs, game shows and soaps on TV. She loved parties and celebrating at family events, and always decorated her home for every holiday.
Pat was battling Alzheimer’s Disease for many years, and her memories were fading. She missed her husband Norman, who was her main focus and loving partner in life, after he recently passed away in December, 2022. They are now together again in eternal rest.
Memorial Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 25th at 2:00 pm and will continue until the time of the Sharing of Memories at 6:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
