Patricia Jane Bower Clarke's Obituary
Patricia Jane (Macdona) Bower, age 78, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Patti was born on July 8, 1946, to Harding and Evelyn Macdona in New York, NY. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1964 and attended Ferris State University where she met and married Kenneth Bower. Patti parlayed her friendships into a growing community of support, love and engagement while raising her children in a warm and welcoming home. Patti, supported by her family and coupled by her creative spirit and sense of adventure, started her own printing business, Print Matters. Time passed and relationships evolved, and Patti married Robert Clarke and moved to Madison Heights, MI. Following the loss of her oldest child, Katherine Elizabeth Bower, she immersed herself in a full-time listener, caregiver, and unconditional support role of her children and grandchildren. Her frequent trips to extended family were never taken for granted including her willingness to adorn the most endearing Halloween costumes!
Coupled with stories and laughter, Patti always enjoyed a game of cards, a battle of Taboo, and a celebration of all the holidays. She loved working diligently on her landscaping, raising her dog Emmie, and playing competitive ping pong. The room was always brighter with Patti present and her effort to participate, to share, and to play was always loved.
Patti is survived by her children, Matt (Jahna) Bower, Julie Bower; grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Josh Adams, Kamden Bower, Kali Bower, Macey Bower; and brother Harding Macdona Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Clarke, sister Nance Piggins, and daughter Katie Adams.
Details about memorial services and other information to come later.
