When Don and I were young bucks on the prowl, Saturday nights, drinking, carousing, etc. we would come in after Pat got off work and she would ask us what we had been up to. Of course we would try to sling her some story that obviously wasn’t true and she would reply “Don’t give me none of those horse feathers”. That memory makes me smile.

Patricia invited me several times to stay at her home before I eventually did fly in from England in 2009.
For two weeks she chauffeured me around, to meet up with Mike and Don's families, spending precious and enjoyable times together.
My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

When I lost Mum in 2009 Patricia wrote the most poignant letter with lots of memories that I would never ever have known. Mike & Don - my parents asked me to let you know how much they loved your mom. They definitely had a special bond over the years and amazing that they have kept in touch with each other over the decades (even without Facebook). Your mom was a strong and wonderful person who my parry had the upmost respect for. May she Rest In Peace- until we meet again! Dear Michael, Don and families, so sorry to hear about your mother. Ursula texted me yesterday to tell me and Olivia sent me on this link this morning.
Hard to believe she’s the last of the Egan’s, so many of them died so young, including my own mother. My Dad (Jim) always kept in contact with Patricia... they phoned each other every other month. I remember by complete coincidence her phoning to speak to Dad the night he died.... she didn’t know and she got such a shock!
Patricia sent me a picture in February, just passed, of myself and Pat Joe dancing in her basement ... Dad and I were staying with her for a few days... I was 11!! I did reply to thank her as we always exchanged Christmas cards and letters every year.
